A year later the second album of the group « Ride The Lightning» was recorded and released. Under this label in 1983 " Metallica" released the first album « Kill 'Em All» that although was not initially a financial success, earned the group a growing fan base.
The same year the group at full lineup moved to San Francisco and in 1983, after the journey to New York, they signed a contract with Megaforce Records. In 1982, when the group was completely formed, « Metallica» recorded several demos and at the first time they performed on the minor stage in an educational institution. Fans of " Metallica" from all over the world are still very grateful to James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich that the musicians, regardless of all difficulties connected with formation of the line-up of the group, didn't give up and, after all, created a really talented team. A world-famous American metal group « Metallica» was formed in autumn of 1981 in Los Angeles.
